artist statement
Movement and mystery are elements, among a myriad of elements that I am inclined to explore in my relationship to all of life. How it exists in nature, people, animals, earth, the elements, the mind the heart, and the spirit.
M
Painting affords me the opportunity to spend more focused, detailed and intimate time with the subject i'm working on. So that for me the experience with that subject is greatly enriched.
It's my hope that my experience is transmitted through my work, and that it becomes a shared experience with the viewer. It's a means of becoming one with my fellows, and hopefully my fellows with me, and with each other. It seems to me that all the arts are a means of communicating with the world at large.
